Add a live musical performance to your party or event making it a truly one-of-a-kind experience for you and your guests. Seasoned performer, Michael Scott Bates can provide either an instrumental or singer-songwriter style concert during your ceremony, cocktail hour or reception. With this addition, you get one hour of live musical hits that you can select from a wide list of favorites. Each additional hour of live music is a rate of $200 an hour.
You may request a special song of your choice to be learned and performed for an additional rate of $100 per song request.

Michael Scott Bates is a talented musician and singer whose musical gifting greatly enhanced my wedding reception at the Silver Cloud Hotel Point Ruston. Michael opened the reception by serenading the Couples’ “First Dance,” and then gave a 1 hour live performance during our dinner hour. Michael performed a wide musical selection ranging from Country, Indie Rock to Reggae. He was very responsive to my texts and emails and always responded in a timely manner. I still have wedding guests telling me how much they enjoyed Michael’s performance and the songs that kept folks returning to the dance floor. 10/10!! Awesome! Michael was awesome to work with from the get-go! As a mom of 3 I have trouble making time for phone calls and when planning a wedding, there are LOTS of phone calls. Michael was so flexible and understanding, and his willingness to work around my schedule for consultations and planning was so helpful and made me excited to work with him and his team. Michael gave us a list of moments we needed to pick songs for which really helped us know we weren’t forgetting anything. He assigned us his partner Thomas as our DJ, and he was equally as fun and easygoing to work with leading up to our special day! Thomas did a fantastic job ensuring our special moments went as planned, made all the right announcements on time, and even accommodated our last minute song change (literally gave him the info during cocktail hour!!) for the mother and son dance and still had a smooth flow. Everyone was dancing and having an amazing time and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
